We introduce ourselves… Robert Sposato

Dr. Robert Sposato joined the City Science Lab in May 2025 as a researcher in the Smart Grids Group at the Institute of Networked and Embedded Systems at the University of Klagenfurt. He earned his PhD on a President’s Scholarship from the School of Psychology at Cardiff University (UK), where he focused on public perceptions of climate change adaptation. He now applies his extensive experience in the design and analysis of large-scale studies, as well as his expertise in interdisciplinary research, to the technical domain. In close cooperation with Stadtwerke Klagenfurt, he is working on the implementation of advanced forecasting tools for the electricity distribution grid. In this context, he develops and trains models to precisely predict load profiles, thereby optimizing grid planning.
